Map your Own Domain:

1. Update the DNS yourself

If you have purchased your domain using a third-party registrar, then you will have to edit the following DNS settings:

● Your A Record should point to Boomer's IP address, which is 52.220.178.248

● Your TXT Record should point to TXT_Record

A Record Setup:

1. Sign in to your domain's account on your domain host’s website.

2. Locate the page which is used to update your domain's DNS records. (DNS

Management)

The page may be called DNS Management, Name Server Management, DNS Control Panel or Advanced Settings.

3. Locate the A Records for your domain. You may already have one or more existing

records which resemble:

○ Host - Enter the host name for the A Record. For instance, type @ to map the record directly to your domain name.

○ Value - Enter the IP Address you want to assign to the record.

○ Select how long you want the server to cache the information. This is called TTL (Time to Live).

Record Type Name/Host/Alias Value/Answer/Destination Time to Live(TTL)
A @ 52.220.178.248 6000

(Remove any existing entries that may already be present)

4. Select Save Zone File/ Save/ Add Records or anything similar to save

your changes and wait until they take effect.

5. After that, find the TXT record in your DNS settings

6. For the type of record, select TXT.

Complete the following fields:

○ Host - Enter the hostname for the TXT Record. For instance, type @ to map the record directly to your domain name.

○ TXT Value - Enter the value you want to assign to the record.

○ Select how long you want the server to cache the information. This is called TTL (Time to Live).

Record Type Name/Host/Alias       Value / Answer / Destination      Time to Live (TTL)
TXT                   @                TXT_Record                 6000

7. Select Save Zone File/ Save/ Add Records or anything similar to save your changes and wait until they take effect.

2. Ask your domain provider to update your DNS settings.

This step of the process must be completed with the company or registrar you have purchased your domain from. If necessary, you may contact the support team at your domain registrar for help.

If you are not sure about what to say, here is a sample email that you could use:

I would like to use my domain with Boomer, a website builder site. In order to do this, I need to point my domain’s name servers to the following:
A Record - Your IP address
TXT Record - Txt value

Remember to remove old A Records when you add the Boomer IP Address. Otherwise, you may find that the process is not successful.

Verify your Connection in Boomer

Click on Verify Connection under your Boomer app’s Add-Ons section to confirm that your custom domain has been connected to your website.

Note: It might take up to 48 hours for your custom domain to point to your website. If you have problems or need help setting up your third-party domain, you can reach out to your provider.
